Cake Decorating Class

I just finished taking Cake I of the Wilton Cake Decorating classes at our local craft store. I made three cakes and took pictures so that I could see if I was progressing at all. THEN, at our enrichment board meeting, I volunteered to make the cake for our Relief Society birthday party. Little did I realize that we're talking a HUGE cake (enough for about 65 people). There isn't a picture of that one because I'm making it tonight, but I will be sure to post it later.

This is the first cake I made. It was for Scott's work (he work at T-Mobile, obviously..) but it was fun to make the pink frosting!! It's very pink.

This cake was because we had to learn how to do "clowns." The clown head is a little plastic thing with a stick on the end. The rest of the clown is made completely of frosting and the ball is a green gum ball. The inside is strawberry..mmm

This cake is an Easter bonnet. Don't look too closely because it was a BEAST to frost. The bow and flowers were really fun to do though, and there's a rose on the back of the bow. Leaves are my new favorite thing to do.
Okay, enough cakes for now. The monster cake project will be happening tonight and tomorrow, so I'll be sure to get a picture of that.
We gave these cakes away, so we didn't have to eat them ourselves!!! :)
Cake, anyone?
