Emily's First Snowman

Emily LOVES the snow. She really just likes to eat it. But recently she discovered the joy that making a snow angel and building a snowman can be! We had attempted a snowman before, but apparently there is a certain "kind of snow" that is perfect for making a snowman. The kind that just rolls up into a ball. Well, the conditions were perfect and here is the result:

Eating the snow (per usual)...

Making a snow angel....

Determined face....

Putting on the finishing touches....

The creators of Emily's first snowman.

The breakdown:

Kumquats for the eyes, tomato end for the nose, pine tree limb for the mouth, fuzzy weed balls from some dead weeds in our yard for the buttons, Emily's hat for the hat, and some dead weeds (tall, yes) from our yard for the arms.

She did keep asking me if we could find a black hat for the snowman... can't imagine why she would want a black top hat... hmm..

In the end, she had a lot of fun. And so did her Mommy.

I love her determined face. What a sweet girl.
And seriously. You are cute from head to toe. Everything about you. So why does it surprise me to see that even your snowman is cute?
And I was going to ask what you were going to do with the kumquats. Nice. :)
