So It Begins

It is FINALLY 1AM! Kristin's longest week of her life ended with, of course, the longest few hours of her life. She was asking if 9 PM was close enough to call to see if there was room enough for her. A HUGE sigh of relief came from when they said she was the only one and they were waiting and ready for her. Now it's time for, again, the hurry up and wait.

Chocoholic in Training....

Emily likes chocolate. Case and point:

Chuck-a-Rama---She has completely eaten a ton of mac n' cheese, mashed potatoes, jello, brocoli cheese soup, and all sorts of sundry carb delicious items from the buffet and has declared she is full.

UNTIL....

Daddy brings a brownie from the dessert bar!

I can't remember why she was pouting, but this picture was cute. Little miss attitude!

And then she continues to delve into this (oh so delicious) moist yummy chocolate brownie.

A girl after my own heart.... nothing like a good brownie. :)

Memorial Day!

I guess since it's Flag Day, I should probably at least post about Memorial Day! :)

Memorial Day we spent with my sweet Grandma in Hurricane. We spent a relaxing day at the pool, which Emily enjoyed with her Daddy.

This picture goes down as the sweetest picture of all time.

Emily watched a movie (Princess & the Frog...love it!) with her "Grandma Mouse" and surprisingly enough (those of you in our fam will know why this is surprising) Bert the cat came and sat with her. Shock of my life. :)

The most memorable part about the day, however, was going to visit the grave of my wonderful Grandpa Nelson. He passed away a year ago and I hadn't actually seen the headstone yet. It is so beautiful. Grandma showed us how to get there so that we can go back and visit again.

It is in a nice shady spot under a tree and is a lovely tribute to my Grandpa.

Thanks Grandma for letting us share the day with you! We love you very much and were honored to go see Grandpa's grave with you.

Happy Memorial Day!
